Current position and how it will affect you

Boat Roller Path/Kings Head Meadow Cycleway will be closed from 31 July 2023 for approximately three weeks to enable Taylor Wimpey to resurface the segregated pedestrian/cycleway.

After this period, new infrastructure associated with the Chelmer Waterside development will begin which includes a new access road and bridge, as outlined on Chelmsford City Council’s webpage.

The Waterside Bridge construction will necessitate an extended closure of the cycleway however an alternative route for pedestrians/cyclists will continue to be available.
