Traffic Regulation Orders

A Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) is a legal order. It enables the county council, as the highway authority, to manage traffic in the county. Examples of TROs includes parking restrictions, speed limits, one-way streets, weight restrictions, no right/left turns and loading bays. The following is a list of recent traffic regulation order proposals which are currently under consultation. TRAF/7505 - Proposed Implementation of Puffin Crossing on Albatros Way, Channels Drive, Broomfield in the City of Chelmsford

The Coounty Council is proposing to implement and introduce a Puffin Crossing to aid pedestrian crossing on Albatros Way, Channels Drive, Broomfield in the City of Chelmsford.

TRAF/7511 - 20MPH Speed Zone, Various Roads, Thorpe Road Development, Clacton-on-Sea, in the District of Tendring.

The County Council is proposing to implement and introduce a 20mph zone to reduce vehicular speeds and improve the pedestrian environment on various roads on Thorpe Road Development, Clacton-on-Sea, in the District of Tendring.

TRAF/7498 - No Waiting At Any Time on Willingale Road, Loughton, in the District of Epping

The County Council proposes to revoke and introduce No Waiting At Any Time restrictions on various lengths of Willingale Road, Loughton and establish a Zebra Crossing
